So, booked up on Ryanair. 55x40x20cm allowance, 10kg. Instinct says I want to make full use. This uses all the dimensions:
However, a good 10-15% of the volume is in the wheels and pull-out handle gubbins. Anyone still sell the old fashioned kind?
Not a suitcase as such, but what I use to max out the cabin baggage allowance.

I just want one with a handle long enough that I can walk normally with it and not have to stoop over to the side and hold it with my fingertips to avoid kicking it with my heel constantly.
I got this Tatonka Flight Barrel in lemon colour (get other colour please as I want to be the only one with lemon colour) bought via Amazon.
Good quality and price.
Measurements: 50 x 36 x 20 cm.

I like Tatonka me. ๐
Edit: forget about wheels because they will only add weight to your luggage.
Edit edit: Lemon colour get marked easily so get other colour if you don't want it to look very dirty with marks. I just like mine looking dirty ...
Leather holdall (not this one, a cheap M&S one), never have to worry about size limits as its squishable....
