Today we were out late but there was water, ball and other Dallys. Harley (short for Harlequin, pic 1) and her sister Blue (too shy for a pic) chased him around for a good while.
My dear best pal Monty, I hope he is still climbing hills on the other side of the rainbow
And liking beer
Doggo is off at my parents as we have been in that landan for the weekend.
Coming back to an empty house is weird.
Keep turning around expecting this...

Stanley at some point yesterday while he was coming down from an anti sickness / pain med high.
He's had a rough few days, Emergency vet on Saturday night with many symptoms of GD. It wasn't that, so he went on another vet day trip today for an ultrasound. Now he's going to a specialist tomorrow to get a proper diagnosis on a mass which showed up on said ultrasound 🙁

I 'liked' the post, wish it could be a worried emoji. Hope the lad is okay mate. Big hugs.
Here's hoping Stanley is back to normal soon. 🙏
Having a poorly dog is rubbish... wish they could talk when they're like that.
Jake apparently isn’t allowed on the sofa. Nobody however, appears to have communicated that to him yet.
How’s Stanley doing?
Huey, half way round a 6-miler earlier today. Needed some firm persuasion to sit for a photo, as there were pheasants & rabbits in the woods not very far away. Which probably explains the slightly distant look in his eyes.
Not my pics to share, but a friend's cockerpoo had 8 puppies last week. ❤️
Have I mentioned that I don't want a dog?
Just under a week later and it's been a bit of journey.
Travelled up to Wakefield for a consultation on Tuesday and based on the symptoms Stanley was admitted immediately for a CT scan. The results found a 13cm almost round tumour weighing just under a kilo attached to his liver, and we opted for surgery the following day to remove it. He lost 1/3 of his blood during the op, most of which happened in about 10 seconds as it was growing near some big blood vessels. We were able to bring him home on Friday evening and he is now recovering well.
Blimey. Get well soon Stanley.
Poor Stanley!
Thats the kind of thing that gives me nightmares. Glad he come through. That face is delightful.
Wow, what a few days Stanley had. Glad he came through it. Make sure he gets plenty of rest 🤣

So glad to see he's back home with you. Hope he's healing well and the prognosis is positive.
Popped out for some food and a pint to celebrate the new job offer. Stacey was waiting for the steak.
He’s wondering if the chef brought him anything from the kitchen.
Loving the bouffant.
So, this is a thread I honestly thought I'd never post on...
... but last Friday we picked up an eight-week old German Wirehaired pointer pup. His name is Sprocket - as per Ogri's dog - and he's ace. I've always wanted a GSP, but the missus likes scruffy mutts, so we compromised and he's the result. Like all pups, he has his moments, but he's bold and bright and doesn't seem to be phased by anything, even next door's irritating barking West Highland Terrier.
He likes toy llamas, rolling around on his back and having his tummy stroked, Jarlsberg, sleeping in his crate, carrots, which seem to be 'the best thing ever' and tripe, which is now known as Sprocket fuel. Fingers crossed, he will eventually make an ace, mildly shaggy, trail dog here in the High Peak 🙂

@BadlyWiredDog ^ He looks bloody ace. Carrots are absolutely a great treat for them, really useful for training rewards. And probably much better for their general gut health than most of the stuff sold in the pet shops.
This photo started life as a candidate for the 'Bluebells 2025' thread, but then a conveniently-placed dog wandered into frame (thank you, Huey) so now it can appear in here as well.
Look what my two found in the woods
This needs more story! Was it escaped/lost? Did you get attacked by mummy Pig for bothering her baby? Are you currently tucking into lovely Bacon sandwiches? (Prob not, it's a bit small).
New puppy is arriving in June and it will be a girl this time. Be interesting to see what she looks like as the mix of german shepherd x golden retriever means she sould end up looking more like a lab (our last boy did)......
Lola displaying her probable staffy genetics.
And... Lola playing with a couple of terrorists. 10 years between her and that puppy.
Old girl still got it. https://imgur.com/a/4YCJ9sA
Awww! She's being so gentle with the BT pup.

He is a beautiful looking boy....black and white is unusual, but v smart. We need regular updates!
I would post a pic of Randal saying hi to a fellow GWP...but I can't see how to post photos in the new forum (being thick, I assume)
@drac they are the only two dogs i can trust her enough to go and greet. Everyone else i need to lead herr up and make sure she will behave.
My 2 maniacs. Both rescues. Bailey (left) and Oskar (right)

His dad is black and white, or more accurately dark grey, and absolutely beautiful in that solid-headed, slightly noble way. If Sprocket ends up looking like him, I'll be absolutely chuffed, but I'll be happy however he turns out tbh. It feels like buying a lottery ticket in the aesthetic sense, no definite way of knowing how long and shaggy, dense etc his adult coat will be.
He's been with us for almost a week now and is settling in nicely. Sleeps overnight in his crate downstairs with no whining or - touch wood - accidents so far and has done since the first night. Absolutely loving his exploratory boldness and insatiable curiosity. Feels like the start of a proper journey for all of us.
Would love to see a pic of Randal, as, I'm sure, would Sprocket 🙂
