Listening to Jo Whiley as cleaning up the kitchen and have been reminded of just how long after the event they drag these things on for.

Weeks of having to listen to poor quality recording of artists performing songs that don't sound as good as the studio tracks.

Hey just to remind all of us who went just how good it was!

Radio6 was wall to wall. Does everyone think its the pinnacle of music at the bbc?

Lots of the recordings I heard on 6music today sounded great - including Lionel's version of Dancing On The Ceiling. But hey, I'm not some sneering hair metal fan hoping one day that I can spend a weekend in Butlins creaming myself to Van Halen playing on mobility scooters.

Wrist band came off as soon as got in the door.

Not fussed about BBC radio coverage as I can't stand most / all of the presenters, but I will watch the I player over the next few weeks to catch up on stuff i missed. That ok?

Good man! 😀 It's like leaving your number plate on after a race!

As an aside, am now going to have to look for the Rival Sons set, didn't realise they were playing.

On the contary - the BBC don't keep this stuff on i=player for half as long as i'd like. As with most things. I still never got round to seeing last years Arcade Fire set.

Ok I may be a bit quick on whinging about it. Just remember how long it went on last year.

Iplayer is great and fill your boots. Just the right place for people who WANT to catch up on the performances to do so.

Don't know how long Miss Houns will keep the car park sticker on the car though. My brother in law still has his on from last year. Yes I take the piss every time I see it

Talking of wrist bands, top tip, don't put your wrist band on your wiping hand/arm. With slender wrists there's a lot of excess that gets in the way 😳 😆

Think all the Glastonbury hate gets a bit over the top, but I could gladly never hear the term 'Glasto' again.

I quite enjoyed the Glastonbury recordings on R1 today, I don't normally listen to radio 1. I was driving a big transit all day too with it blaring out for full effect!

What amazes me is that so many on here seem to have just noticed this happening. I mean, it's only been going on for pretty much as long as the Beeb have covered Glastonbury, what's kept you from noticing?

❗ ❓
Again, you've only just woken up to BBC playlisting? How long has 6 been going now? And as for Radio 1...
I'm seriously thankful it's Courtney, and not Daft chuffin' Punk, who 6 seem to have a massive hard-on for, for no clear reason that I can see.

Here's the thing... There's a billion stages, so even if they played live feeds from dusk to dawk they couldn't do it all in realtime. So once you've got OB and recording onsite and the rights to the music it'd be daft not to keep running it for a good chunk after. Not to mention that people come home from festivals and want to hear some of what they saw and what they missed.

More live music on BBC please.

But then how would they be able to boast about their amazing summer experience 😕

At least I haven't seen anyone wearing multiple wristbands for multiple festivals yet. One of the lads I went on holiday with two years ago (in September!!) had four still on him, they were manky and disgusting!! We gaffa-taped him to the kitchen chair and cut them off with a pair of garden shears eventually. He was begging us not to do it 😈

In my business the "yoof" that work here are all instructed to remove wristbands before coming back to work, minging and dangerous.

RE the Courtney Barnett vid up there ^^ she must be one of the few artists who is more tuneful live than recorded. Love her!

At least it was't the Radio1 big weekend, which they bang on for about 2 months before, and then play the dreadful quality music for months after, while the DJ's self congratulate themselves on how amazing it was to hang out with Taylor Swift or some other celeb.

Still think the Glasto BBC lover in is overkill and annoying, personally I'd rather they only covered it on radio and left the TV to Sky or whoever.

Loved Jo "Terrahawk" Whiley licking Lionel Richie's bum on some transient piece of telly. "You totally aced Glastonbury" or some such. Gag. Where were Quintessence?
