I've just received an email off O2 saying that they are increasing their tariff £0.99 a month from the new year. The contract only expires November next year. I'm not bothered about £0.99p but I have three contracts with them, and that's £36 a year increase for nothing else!
Almost certainly; check your contract.
Yep, they can increase it by up to the rate of inflation. You can (in theory) escape if you can prove that it's to your material detriment. I don't know of anyone who's had success with this method.
Yep, Vodaphony did it, had complaints, been told to make it clearer to customers, but in small print, and legal.
Yep. Vodaphone did it to me about six days into my latest contract a few months back. Worrying precedent really, as it never used to happen.
