if I bought the number from someone else who had previously registered the card....
I bought a memorable phone number for a few quid ages ago and would liek to transfer it to O2 now. But, its still in the name of the person who registered it.

You need to call up to get the PAC code. If you're not the registered owner you may have difficulty obtaining it.
