I'm looking to get some ready made thermal blinds for my Tourneo Custom.
Any recommendations?

are you goign to be stealth camping or on a site.

if the latter then look at getting external blinds they really are far superior to internal ones.

we have internals 🙁

Having seen folk struggling with external blinds on Uist last week, they're not best for windy locations. I like internal as you can just use one or two to fine tune your light/warmth preferences. I reckon external are more efficient but Webasto says I don't care 🙂

External windscreen covers are also wet after a night's rain or condensation!

External also means fighting the midges when putting them on!

I made my own internal ones for my Doblo. Length of foil insulation from B&Q. Cut to the correct size for each window. Some small suckers at each corner to attach them to the windows. Silver gaffa tape round the edges to stop them getting damaged. They get rolled up together like a tube when they're not being used and sit just behind the driver seat. Probably cost £15 all in. Work perfectly

I wanted internal ones for stealth camping as it's very much a van.
Was hoping to not go the DIY route as I have the Blue Peter skills of a 5 year old.

+1 for getting some foil bubble wrap stuff from B&Q and making your own.

Nothing says stealth like sticking up blinds inside or out....

It's like a giant sign saying "I'm asleep in here"

But your right nothing keeps you warmer than onboard thermostatic heating. Truma e2400 here 🙂

External are way better, no condensation on inside of window that way. As for putting them on in the wind and midges, really?? It takes about 30 seconds.

I guess they could flap in the wind if not pulled tight before shutting the door on them .

Taylor Made or Silver Screens are the two main makers, both seem good. External ones mean no condensation on the inside of the windscreen, but internal ones may be simpler in bad weather, although lots of condensation between screens and windows. We have external, but also built in blinds for windscreen and snap-on side screens, so easy to use either.

I guess they could flap in the wind if not pulled tight before shutting the door on them .

If you have specific ones for your make of van, then no, no flappage, they just fit.
