I've got a week in august near san francisco, and am looking for some good days riding. Could travel down to mammoth, across to tahoe, up to marin, or down to santa cruz. Really want to find some trails for big xc days out in the hills.
Any recommendations?

No need to travel far - Skyline boulevard south of SF, loads of trails north of Santa Cruz (Wilder ranch), repack rider will be along to help shortly....
