Anyone know where it might be possible to buy a copy for my Boot camp Mac? It'll only be for occasional use so I really don't need to blow a chunk on 7.
Is it still about anywhere?

Will an upgrade CD work? If so, I have one here. . . .

an XP OEM licence is not really any cheaper than a W7 one.

I have no operating system whatsoever so I guess I have to go from the ground up. Thanks for the kind offer though. Not sure I want 7 as it'll take up more space and I won't be using many of the feature is comes with.
Tricky as 70 quid is quite a bit for software which has been replace twice and support is due to be discontinued, not that I'd really have any use for it.

I don't think you can buy xp any more, they are officially supporting it for a year of so but that's only ''cos they had their arm twisted, they wanted it dropped and dead long ago. If you really really want it then second hand off of ebay might be your only option if you want to be legit.

I'd go for a lite version of 7 or 8 if I were you.

Check the compatibility - I'm pretty sure newer Macs can't use older windows versions under bootcamp. You can run anything you want under Parallels/VMWare/Oracle's one..

If you're on an older Mac, ignore me - otherwise, check out: Apple link

I bet you could buy cheaper than that(or find in a skip) a PC with an XP COA on it.

How about this
