Bunkhouse accomodation, lakes, howgills etc

Looking for somewhere for 8 blokes, must be within walking distance of a good pub that sells decent ale.

Southern end of lakes, pennines etc, we will be walking not riding.

Anyone get any suggestions?

really nice camping barn in Buttermere, google it. two good boozers just down the road with good food too. may be a bit north for you but the walking is top notch. 😀
