http://www.express.co.uk/features/view/301993/I-beat-rarest-cancer-in-the-world-
Thanks Harry. Surprisingly dusty in here again...
Uplifting stuff though.
Woo! Awesome!
Great stuff, you know i've followed bullhearts story on here but never posted anything. What a great lesson to learn of pure determination to not let anything beat you.
He's the kind of person that should be getting a nod in the New Years Honours List
Can't read that. Scares the bejesus out of me.
Blimey!............I think I may have something in my eye.....
Bullheart and Braveheart.
Must have a word with the cleaners in here.
yup, there's that grit again.
Amazing story, amazing man.
And not a single mention of the IoP! 😛
An amazing read...and interesting to read a short account of the huge thread we all watched on here.
Brings tears to my eyes every day, then a massive whopping smile. Keep going Bullheart, STW are with you. Fantastic story.
Imagine if this had been in the Daily Mail...
Personally I think the Express is worse than the Mail
I don't read either, but nothing strikes joy in the heart of a STWer than Bullheart, nothing brings dispair like the Daily Mail.
I think the world would implode.
Personally I think the Express is worse than the Mail
Kitten Block agrees
Nice one, from another quiet follower of the story... Keep going mate, there's so much good will and support out there for you...
Bloody hell. I feel equally inspired (all over again) just reading those few paragraphs as I did following Mark's original thread.
Really glad to see a genuine uplifting story in the press, and more so because it's one of us.
But...
Beard? Really?
Seriously, good on you. I might show that to my mother in law next time she's feeling a bit low.
Poor Bully - having cancer's bad enough, but they've tried to make him smile and made him wear a roadie helmet.
That is a good news story .I have not heard much about Bullheart for a while so it`s good to know he is doing well.
Evening all,
Thank you for the kind comments. The interview was done a while ago, and I was informed that the Express were running it today over the weekend. I'm a little bemused by the title, and think it's a bit misleading, but if it raises awareness then so be it.
Poor Bully - having cancer's bad enough, but they've tried to make him smile and made him wear a roadie helmet.
You wouldn't believe the effort the snapper went to in order to get me to smile. I was having none of it... 😀
Imagine if this had been in the Daily Mail...
It wouldn't have. Trust me.
Not affected your capability with a fork much has it? 😆
(that's if it's ok to take the mickey a bit.... 😯 )
It's all total nonsense of course, what saved the man were the positive vibes from hundreds of STWers. And skim reading (because we all know the story) I didn't see those vital three letters. I reckon the mods should sue the Express.
positive vibes from hundreds of STWers
You'll be believing in the tooth fairy next Educator 😉
I was trying to think
Edit: bloody phone!
Anyway I was trying to think of something witty and lighthearted to say but really couldn't think of anything.
Everytime I read your story Bullheart, I'm as blown away and amazed and humbled and happy for you as the first time I read it.
Got grit in my eye too. Well done bullheart. Awesome.
Awww come on!
The guy is a hero and has sucessfully baffled and amazed medical science and been quite cool about it and has got a new baby daughter and an obviously cool wife, but am I the only one to take the mickey?
Thanks, just thanks a lot... 🙁
Just dont let anyone know his little sister lapped MM faster than he did...........
Gears .- the way to be faster than your little sister (IMO)
Mark .- Are you BigDogging this year ?
Crikey - Very good... 😉
Rob - Unfortunately not.
But I did buy an entry for my sister!!!!! Hahahahahahahahaha! She's entered in the 6 hour solo! 8)
And for the record, I was faster than my sister.

Astounding! Gulp 😀

First story in the Express I've ever liked.
First story in the Express I've ever read!
It didn't even mention Princess Diana.
Or the weather.
😥 bugger, got something in my eye...hang on.
Not much else to say that hasn't been said, other than
So one of the plot lines in Holby tonight was about a guy, who was a keen cyclist training for the Olympics, but who is diagnosed with a very rare form of heart cancer.
Art imitates life eh.
Well posted Harry.
That Bullheart geezer he's an inspiration.
SB
Nice to put a face to name, well done skip 😉
Nice one mate.
I'm sure you've got those MM times mixed up again 😉
THIS HAS TO BE REPORTED IN THE MAGAZINE, YOU KNOW.
Sorry for the shouting, just want the mods to hear 😉
Bullheart is Princess Diana re-incarnated, that's why he was in the Express!
THIS HAS TO BE REPORTED IN THE MAGAZINE, YOU KNOW.
Hmmm. Good luck with that.
Drop Mark an email and see what he thinks...
