Great stuff, you know i've followed bullhearts story on here but never posted anything. What a great lesson to learn of pure determination to not let anything beat you.

He's the kind of person that should be getting a nod in the New Years Honours List

I don't read either, but nothing strikes joy in the heart of a STWer than Bullheart, nothing brings dispair like the Daily Mail.

I think the world would implode.

Bloody hell. I feel equally inspired (all over again) just reading those few paragraphs as I did following Mark's original thread.

Really glad to see a genuine uplifting story in the press, and more so because it's one of us.

But...

Beard? Really?

Seriously, good on you. I might show that to my mother in law next time she's feeling a bit low.

Poor Bully - having cancer's bad enough, but they've tried to make him smile and made him wear a roadie helmet.

Evening all,

Thank you for the kind comments. The interview was done a while ago, and I was informed that the Express were running it today over the weekend. I'm a little bemused by the title, and think it's a bit misleading, but if it raises awareness then so be it.

Poor Bully - having cancer's bad enough, but they've tried to make him smile and made him wear a roadie helmet.

You wouldn't believe the effort the snapper went to in order to get me to smile. I was having none of it... 😀

Imagine if this had been in the Daily Mail...

It wouldn't have. Trust me.

It's all total nonsense of course, what saved the man were the positive vibes from hundreds of STWers. And skim reading (because we all know the story) I didn't see those vital three letters. I reckon the mods should sue the Express.

I was trying to think

Edit: bloody phone!

Anyway I was trying to think of something witty and lighthearted to say but really couldn't think of anything.

Everytime I read your story Bullheart, I'm as blown away and amazed and humbled and happy for you as the first time I read it.

The guy is a hero and has sucessfully baffled and amazed medical science and been quite cool about it and has got a new baby daughter and an obviously cool wife, but am I the only one to take the mickey?

Thanks, just thanks a lot... 🙁

So one of the plot lines in Holby tonight was about a guy, who was a keen cyclist training for the Olympics, but who is diagnosed with a very rare form of heart cancer.

Art imitates life eh.
