Sat in a&e.
Think this qualifies.
Archery and nose picking going to be trickier from now on.

While I'm in pain you can all have fun guessing how this state of affairs came to be.

You misread the signs and touched the MIL inappropriately?

Must be something slicey, a disc brake incident of some sort?

edit - Can't be disc brakes, or you'd have posted on the Bike Forum. I'm throwing my vote in with woodworking, rotary saw (just because mine terrifies me any time I use it).

Lead fingernail?
Do you have a matching one on the other hand where you tried to show them how it happened?

Remarkably not wood related.

Rotor incident closer but, yes, in chat not bike forum for a reason

Might see if I can close the wound myself with some superglue. Drac, got any advice?

That is a very good question.

All I can come up with at the moment is that I momentarily lost the ability to think like a competent adult.

However it reminded me how surprised I am to have made it to 40 with everything else still attached

I've nearly done similar with a mandolin (the food surgery device, not the musical one!), so food prep of some kind?

A handy rule for life - don't poke your fingers in places you wouldn't poke your knob

I asked the triage nurse if I'd be able to play the piano now and she said yes. Which is great because I've never learned.

Yep, right handed. Going to be annoying.

Will have to swap to shooting left handed bow. And touch typing is going to be weird.

Did someone forget just how closely a 525 chain meshes with a 42T sprocket?

Last time I saw something like that it was GF's sister after having (almost) cleaned her motorbike/chain. Ouch.

Time to get a Steam-Punk looking metal-tipped digit and start a metal band named 'Iommifinger'

We'll have a whipround.
Scottoilers aren't that pricey these days.

Could you take a picture of the warning sticker you ignored first though? ๐Ÿ™‚

How about we use that whip-round to get him Velcro laces instead as he's obviously not safe to be left unsupervised
