Taking brexit day of it should be declared a national holiday for those that voted leave. So I'm going to hamsterly for the day. Still going if it doesn't happen on the 29th

Just checking I've understood you correctly:

You're booking the 29th of March off work.

You think it should be a free day off for those who voted leave, but not for those who voted remain.

Irrespective of what happens politically, you're going cycling around Hamsterley Forest.

Yes?

Incoherent and illogical? That's leave voters for you.

Spend the day off with a load of leave voters?

I think I'll go to work, thanks.

But you'll all just argue in the carpark over which direction to take until it's too late.

He'll be fine. Breshiteers don't need no advice from the elite or experts they are maverick individuals with a glint in their eye and a swagger in their step.

No idea what their doing and a devil may care attitude to others but....

I had booked the 29th off just to use up my leave, then realised the significance 🤦‍♂️So cancelled my leave.

There’s a chance I might be having a toe removed next week. If it’s unavoidable, I shall ask for it to be done on Friday, with a revolver. Seems appropriate somehow.

OP, will you not be going to one of the thousands of street parties that have been organised?

Makes falling off a cliff edge more likely. Could you not ask for an extension instead?

I have also booked the day off.  No national holiday for me as I voted remain but I have a ticket to the London Bike Show where I shall not be discussing politics

Not got the day off, but we are meeting up for a "Brexit breakfast". No handy Weatherspoons nearby, so it will be a greasy spoon run by Poles. Croissants and all that foreign muck will be off the menu though.

That's not a bad idea, I might take the day off to celebrate us not leaving on the 29th!

£5 says more people make it to the end of the OPs ride than make it to the end of the Gammonball Run.

Im not so sure

If the brexit day ride is carried out in the true spirit of Brexit then every person will be planning on a a different destination, theyll have spaffed loads of money up the wall on new bikes, theyll expect the 10hour route will only take 2 hours that a bloke down the pub called Nige told them about, theyll get lost, crash, run out of food & in the end, fall off a cliff.

When they get back to the trail centre cafe theyll angrily blame the elitist staff, (who told them it was a bad idea to leave with no plan, no map on the word of an obviously dodgy chracter)

The OP can always take the bus for large chunks of the ride.

If the OP is interested I have made a Brexit playlist.
They are more than welcome to a copy. 🙂

Anyone know if the march is still heading in the same direction?

Organised a zombie themed "Gammongeddon" party on an upper floor of the apartments we used to live in - with a view over London -so that we can get drunk, whilst laughing at the stupidity.

A day off seems unnecessary because most brexit voters are unemployed or retired.
