the removable filter thingy is leaking and when i couldnt turn the thing by hand i used a spanner on it and it snapped 🙁
leaking all over the floor......... any ideas?
no help, but this post made me smile, maybe you are human after all. 😉
i am sitting here laughing with the floor flooded. this time it wasnt me pissed leaving the taps on 🙂
Such a pain when a washing machine leaks everywhere.
Could try http://www.espares.co.uk/search/washing-machines/bosch/p/1085/856
For replacement part
i cant get the filter thing to budge now the plastic handle has snapped off .
These are not the parts that you are looking for. 😀
heh heh,, the thing wouldnt twist by hand, the adjustable spanner helped slow it down by turning it and then it snapped 🙂
You are sure you did the lefty loosey righty tighty thing?
Otherwise - if its under warranty - I'd say it got delivered that way.
Not under warranty - well lots of options!
You did turn it the correct way didn't you?
not under warranty, it get removed every 6months as it get mud and shit in it. this time it turned a bit then stopped solid
If all else fails these guys will sort you out for £90 plus parts!

Is there not an association here between Essex and kitchen floors?
essex??
Can you make a jump over the puddle?
Try wrapping plumbers tape over the tread and re-screwing back on, may be a stop gap till you get it fixed.
Make another Reflections movie.... love that one
Big flat end screwdriver and hammer time, to tamp it in the direction to loosen or srew 2 screws in where handle has snapped and brace a lever between them....
Happy New Year by the way...
wot he said - put a new handle on it as you will need a new cap anyway
If it fails again/snaps then drill it apart so you can just snap it off at the thread [outer bit] - do this in a way not to damage the thread obviously
i reckon i'll have to get a bloke out to do it 🙂
Please dont make a movie about the bloke coming out to fix your washing machine. That would not be safe for work.
heh heh, its 10years old and i been quoted £165 to fix it... maybe its time to get a new one 🙂

or get a new repair man, new element in my washer dryer only cost £45 fitted
E spares, use a pattern part (fraction of the Bosch price)
replace whole filter unit, it's an easy instal ( remembering to unplug etc......)
On mine it was 2 X torx screws on front
release two pipe clamps (using pliers)
1 X electrical plug....
dead easy
