So, moving into a new gaff this weekend and need blinds fitting throughout... Heard some bad things about Hilary's from a few people so who has got a better recommendation (Saddleworth area)?

what sort of blinds? Roller or venetian, can't help, but if you want Roman blinds my missus makes handmade blinds 🙂

Hillarys have a division/website that just sells the blinds so you can fit them yourself.
I have a couple of blinds from there and have never had problem with the blinds themselves ,I think most of the problems are from incompetent fitters (Have seen and repaired some of there mistakes in the past).
Slightly off topic have you considered Plantation shutters instead?
