Thoroughly enjoying this on BBC4.

One question; why is the drummer behind a 6' tall Perspex screen??

It's not bad at all.

The screen is used to shield the drums from the other instruments and musicians on the stage. Makes life easier for the audio techs.

Absolutely brilliant content from the BBC. On Demand everything. Well impressed.

Quite right there's more staff there than in Brazil. Even if they should be presenting childrens tv instead.

Crikey ... Blondie still rocking at 69 yr old. 😯

Same age as my aunt who passed away two days ago ...

Whilst I'm enjoying this, it did strike me as odd that there are kids in that audience who've paid rather a lot of money to watch a musician possibly older than their grandparents! I was around 12 when Blondie were at their height, strange but gratifying to know they can still do it.

Not feeling the love.
Just heard some of it on 6music and she sounded a tired old voice, bridging with spoken word when she couldn't reach notes.
Shame,let it go Debbie.

2nd face lift is an improvement on the last.

Good to see them out, but she was struggling a bit

'cos he's so noisy, I'm sure I remember them complaining once about him

and tbh we switched it on half way through 'Call Me', and couldn't work out which song it was..., I know they need the money, but that doesn't mean folk should employ them

I understand the perspex shields are to protect DH's ears* from the top end of Clem's cymbals.

Clem is a great drummer, openly influenced by Keith Moon. And one of my influences too.

* as I understand it she has terrible tinnitus

I like Blondie but that was like watching a drunk old slapper butchering their entire back catalogue at a karaoke night.

Just watching the Blondie set now. Excellent. Ok they're not jumping around the stage like they might have done 30 or 40 years ago but I'd rather watch these pensioners than the Stones or Paul McCartney

I watched the Blondie set earlier, and once Debbie's voice warmed up she was getting notes the same as forty years ago.
I'd truly like to hear those on here whining about her actually sing, so I can criticise their efforts.
And yes, I saw Blondie in 1977, as a support, so I know what her voice actually sounded like back then, and it hasn't changed that much, just a bit deeper.

Saw her at Camp Bestival a couple of years ago. Very entertaining and I was impressed that she didnt come across as a prima dona. Didnt seem to take herself too seriously.
Maybe you have to be there rather than watching it on your computer.
