Yes, that one.
Just channel-hopping and stumbled across Blockbusters on Challenge, figured it'd be a bit of retro background viewing for ten minutes.
It's all as I remember; 80s-tastic, his Holness the Bob, contestants are a rugger bugger against two public schoolboys in dicky-bows who make Michael MacIntyre sound working-class, etc.
Then suddenly, a bell rings. Bob goes, "ah, that's the breaktime bell, so we've just got time for one more question before the break." One more question, adverts.
Now, I used to watch Blockbusters when it was on first time around, and I don't remember this feature at all. Is it just me having a poor memory, or is this something that was quickly dropped after a few shows or brought in right at the end, or something? I could swear it didn't do it when I used to watch.
i dont recall it either but I was not a massive fan
Watched it all the time - never remember the "breaktime" bit. I take it you're watching re-runs?
I'm not aware of any other way of watching it. Did they remake it (or is that what you're asking me)?
Oh you know how sometimes an old quiz show gets re-made, like say, Sale Of The Century and run on a digital channel. AFAIK, this never happened with the marvellous Blockbusters though. I may not sleep this evening. ๐
Who won? Pair or single? Did he/they do the gold run? What was the prize??
