Anyone got one? Considering replacing iPhone with one plus iPad. Interested to hear thoughts of anyone who has one..?

You might miss the apps off the iPhone with the BB? If you've got an iPad it might not be so bad. For email and texting the BB can't be beat especially with the 9900, the keyboard on it is the best yet.
The build quality of the BB's is second to none too, I work outdoors and have broken many phones. Never had a problem with a BB though and the 9900 is more solid than my old 9700. I've lost count of the amount of broken iPhones I've seen!
Go into your local phone shop and ask to have a go with one.

I use a BB curve for work and an iPhone 3GS for my personal phone. I initially bought the iPhone because of the tie into iTunes and podcasts. I'm still sold on iPhone as a device and I'll probably get another one.
I will definitely get the BB9900 as a work upgrade.

If I was forced to live with one device it would be the iPhone just as it easier to use and the apps, if you require them, are of a quality that BB just cannot match. The cavaet though is the iPhone isn't a rugged outdoor device and truth be known I switch to BB when I am out on the trail!

Treyster - You can't compare the old curve with the new 9900. The iPhone may still be a bit easier to use but the 9900 has a touch screen now, this makes it much better when browsing the net or scrolling through menu's.
Loddrik - A lot depends on what you want the phone for. The BB gets a lot of bad press saying it doesn't do this and it doesn't do that...It's a solid work tool whereas the iPhone is a gadget/toy.

I don't understand the, it's easier to text/e-mail on a BB thing. I've got a iphone 4 for personal use and a BB 9000 for work and don't find texting or e-mailing no harder on one device to the other. I also work outside and have no complaints with the build quality of either device. But others at work find it hard on the BB due to the small keypad as I have small hands I don't have an issue with it.

As Treyster i'd be very interested in the 9900 as a work up-grade but for personal use i'd stick with my iphone.

Wait around for a bit. The way RIM's stock is taking a hammering, they'll be almost giving phones away soon, like HP were giving away their tablet computers.

I had a Bold 9000 and loved the form factor. Typing was fantastic. Upgraded to a Torch, and can't wait to get rid of it. I'll upgrade as soon as I can, and my son will get the Torch. To be honest, I have found touch screens to be over-rated, I find typing much harder, and normally use the trackpad. And yes I know the new Bold has one.

Disclaimer: I'm a fully paid up BB fan with a 32G Playbook rather than an iPad.
