[Closed] Bizzare spam / scam / virus E-mails?

I had one.

Quite clever way to play on people's immediate insecurity (regardless of wrongdoing) to get them to open a virus package.

I was impressed, tbh, far more likely than a 'here's details of a parcel we couldn't deliver' email to get people to look at it. People will want to prove their innocence whereas they know they weren't expecting a parcel.

Yeah I got a load in the space of a week or so, seem to have died down again now.

Have been getting loads of them - well kind of, and don't know what the content is as they've all been going to my yahoo account which is collected by gmail and I have lots of notices of emails being left on the server.

I keep getting very well set out emails stating that either my Paypal or Itunes accounts have been disabled and that they require details from me, look like the real thing, but as you read them there are some glaring spelling mistakes and they seem to orginate from Germany.

Been mostly fotty world cup spam for me. Sadly, most are "genuine", and only going to increase. Both email and sms.

Get lots of fake university spam though where I can get a fake Bachelor degree.

I have an ebay/paypal specific account which only gets used for that, so same here.
