I'll be in Birmingham next Saturday & will be looking for somewhere to eat - seems rude not to go for a curry, what can you recommend?

Whenever I have been working down in brum the curry option was always Shere Khan at Star City, it may not be everyones choice however its always packed mainly with ****stani families, service is quick and efficient, food is of a good standard and price is good, plenty of parking, no beer !

New to me in the past few years:

Pretty good S. Indian (don't really rate Jyoti or B'ham branch of Chennai Dosa. Or Bham for S. Indian in general :/)

V Good (spendy without being pretentious)

Some v good dishes, some not great (Spendy & pretentious)

Gets a mixed press but I was very impressed with Pushkar's when I was there, more tellingly the very discerning indian girl we had with us was similarly smitten, one of the best she'd ever had in the U.K. apparently.
