I've placed an order with bikecomponents.de and it is my first since brexit. There was a minimum order so it meets a customs threshold, i presume. How will it work and how will I have to pay duty etc? Any recent experience?

You'll probably get a letter from the courier company breaking down the cost.
Expect 20% vat
Duty on anything that originated outside the EU
£12 to £20 handling fee
Once you pay that, they'll release/deliver to goods

That ⬆️ and if they shipped it in two parcels but didn’t break the invoice down , expect to pay VAT on everything twice.

Worked out at just over 27% all in on my forks last year. Still far cheaper than I could get them in the UK
