Current GW is a poor third rate substitute. Lacks the gravitas of the original.
Pussywillow and rudebwoy stand out for me.
Not in a big hitter "STW royalty" kind of a way, more in a "looking at this thread, guess who'll be along in a min.........oh, there you are" kind of a way. Reassuring in their own way.

At least 2 big hitterz on this thread on their 4th or 5th login names. That i even know of, i haven't even been here that long or paying that much attention. i still don't really get what was wrong with their old names.
I do seem to remember that Al coined the 'big hitter' expression on here though.

Certainly trolling hard is Mtbel. Silly threads such as the one that the rock garden at Pietermaritzburg (Spl?) is an easy ride on a rigid bike, etc. Then, recently, of course, he/she's always ridden farm tracks on a full on road race bike. As long as he/she's lived, apparently. Malecoweffluent the lot of it.

Beer was a wind up merchant, and a very good one too. Dan sailed a little close to the wind on many occasions. One day he sailed too close to the edge of the world and fell off.

I think a lot of the socially disfunctional lived on that forum as they couldn't control themselves.

Beer and Dan were funny, if a little mean occasionally. The prawn was my favourite. I do miss TSY too.
They're not in mleh, I think Al is the only big hitter who visits.
The ones that were good, unfortunately, are the ones that don't come back. The ones that are a waste of the internet keep coming back with new logins (oh teh irony).

The true irony is that mlehworld is one of the most social forums around, where folk can still enjoy banter with each other knowing it's all truly lighthearted and get together to laugh and joke about it over a ride or a drink. In Facebook terms it's the difference between Friends and Acquaintances.
