I heard a rumour that it was a burger who liked riding bicycles made for two.
Sad if it's true.

TJ got banned for that? Seems a little over the top.

I think he is a nobber, most of the time, but he is OK really.

He does seem to struggle with opinions that differ from his.

Meh.

How many times do you have to be told about your argumentative style, then to come piling in like a tornado.

haha is it TJ? I'm not on here enough to really notice his loss, although I have seen his quite varied approach to the law...from black and white re dogs on leads through to grey areas re jumping red lights!

Does he have fanboys like elfin did? Will other big hitters be calling it a travesty as he 'brings something to the table'?

If it has, it was probably because after his last ban, he was told that if he doesn't stop arguing constantly he'd be banned.

And then came back..... And .....

He used to bring quite a bit IMO, recently he's been too entrenched & extreme.

He's o.k in real life.

The sad thing is, that he probably is.....people always said that about elfin-the fact that they are often very nasty on the interweb and spoil peoples enjoyment of it is what people on the interweb will judge them by though isn't it.

It's not a life time ban. It's not even an 11 year ban, bit more harsh than a 9yr ban though.

He had many weaknesses, but the one exploited with most glee by 2 or 3 posters on this thread was his inability to ignore people taking opposite viewpoints or digging him to intentionally wind him up.

Whatever you thought of him, this place clearly meant a lot to him. A lifetime ban cannot be that nice to have handed out to oneself.

He posted on Facebook, is how I knew. (I broke the news on the offending thread, for better or for worse; figured people had a right to know rather than speculate why he's suddenly disappeared)

Purely personally, I never had a problem with him (or anyone) "arguing", that's what discussion forums are for. Ad hominem, on the other hand. I wonder if that's where ultimately he fell down?

Not surprising really, him and that bloke from London who spoke like a 5 year old couldn't handle people having a different opinion. Maybe they will interact with the real world a bit more now. โ“

....and so the circlejerk ejects another dissenting voice.

Probably best for his own health before he busts a blood vessel. His posts have become more and more biased than usual and any contradiction to his view point is asking for trouble. Seeing a thread with his comments in is normally a sign to leave it well alone. Kimbers seems determined to take TJs mantle with biased threads ready to start another war of words. I wish the mods could just delete all political threads it would make the forum more enjoyable for those who don't come here for an argument everyday.

Before people start with the negative comments - TJ is one of lifes good guys. I am glad to be able to consider him to be a friend.

Could possibly be for the best, TJ is a top guy in the flesh and often on teh webs, but it does feel like the forum can bring out the worst of him. Or perhaps what I should say is that certain forum members do their best to bring out the worst of him.

Of course, they've not been banned... Wonder whether they'll be pleased to have won, or sad to have lost their sport. Well, I hope they're gutted tbh, but I doubt it.

On the plus side, he's only been banned- they'll always be pricks and no moderator will ever fix that for them.

I can talk about TJ though. A decent bloke, but pathologically unable to a) see anyone else's point of view, b) acknowledge anyone's right to their point of view and c) let it go.

And in general, moderation decisions are made for the good of the forum, not based on whether or not someone's a good or nice person.

A shame that someone has not been able to overcome their issues but c'est la vie, c'est l'internet.

If its true, then its a shame.
Always helpful with good advice where he could.
Maybe he should have learnt to ignore the 'baiters, but tbh, it was pretty relentless and targeted.
