There's always the obvious ones (Star Wars, LOTR etc) but what else?

Midnight Express?

American Werewolf?

Risky Business?

I quite like Tron 2 as well - some great retro 80s tracks at the start!

Don't think there's much better than casino. The Michael Mann take on Miami Vice has a cracking one too.

I suppose I'd have to separate it out between best soundtrack and best original soundtrack.

Bests: Platoon, Romeo and Juliet, Big Blue, Trainspotting, Good Morning Vietnam
Originals: The Mission, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, There Will Be Blood (Greenwood's intro piece especially)

That'll do for now anyway.

Queen - Kind of Magic. A film soundtrack that stands on its own, as well as with the film.

Or are you just looking for films with cool music in them?
