Search is indeed your friend fbk. I used that friend before the OP and saw that thread which showed a good offer which has seance finished. Thus my reasoning for staring this thread...

So back to the OP, anyone know any good deals

£323 - http://amzn.to/1cRLIIo

or £275 for the Black 3 http://amzn.to/1bQWA8j

I have both and there isn't that much real life difference. If I was a pro film buff it might matter.

What if your just an over enthusiastic amateur who wants much bigger numbers than your mates? (before compressing the hell out of it when you see how long it takes to upload a 1tb 2min movie of nothing that interesting)

probably worth a look here
http://nofilmschool.com/2013/10/comparison-of-gopro-hero3-gopro-hero3/

For some idea
Can't find the old comparison chart between the models that would tell you what the specs of the 3 & 3+ are anymore.

Anyway what you are shooting makes more of a difference

I was the one asking in the other thread. Found this one at suspicious price, not too sure about the website and couldn't bring myself to click buy. http://www.simplyelectronics.net/mainproduct.php?pid=23191&sd=acc

Any ideas on this place?

The site appears to have an Australian contact us section when I look at it here, I'm guessing it looks like a UK site for you?

Yep UK phone number and everything.

After a bit of googling it seems they are pretty shady. Based in Hong Kong despite not mentioning that anywhere and appear to be from whatever country you access them from.

Lots of nightmare stories about them not sending items, not returning money and lots more.... Glad I didn't click now, think i'll give them a miss.

Hmmm, interesting video - I don't think I'll be swapping my Hero 2 any time soon.

Check Currys PC World at the Metrocentre (Newcastle), they had one heavily reduced when I was in the other day.

I did a bit of hunting on that simply electronics and it's a HK company so will be a grey import sent from China.

There's a couple of sellers on ebay selling 3+ for £302 ish. They are uk companies and the GoPro is sent to you from UK, but stock is grey obtained from Taiwan. I messaged one of them and they indicated that you have a warranty with the UK company if any problems, so less risky option.

There's a chance they'll be offers around in new year when the Christmas 'rush' is over.

There's nothing wrong with Hong Kong companies. But Simply Electronics have a really bad reputation for customer service.

Some reputable Hong Kong sellers (or uk people selling hong kong stock) are:
http://www.digitalrev.com/product/gopro-hero3-black-edition/MTEwMjg5OA_A_A
http://www.onestop-digital.com (only have the 3, not 3+)

There are others, that don't sell gopro
http://panamoz.com
http://www.hdewcameras.co.uk
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/FLASH-CAMERA

I've used all of those except Panamoz.

What about Boxing day? Were there any GoPro deals in previous years? I would wait to find out, but I am flying on the 27th, so won't have time to order one online and get it delivered if there are no price drops...
