Who your favourite collaborators song or music??

Mine’s ‘Scale it Back’ DJ Shadow & Yukimi Nagano/Little Dragon. Massive fan of both and they n every way sound like they were made to work together. Should have been a huge hit IMO (obviously I’m biased). Who’re your top twosome (or howevermanysome)?

Other mentions:

Orb and Fripp (FFWD)
Holger Czukay and David Sylvian

@DezB Am I’m glugging those three down the lugholes cheers. Never heard of any of them mind you.

Before I forget:

Mr Jukes and and Charles Bradley. I make it out to be about the saddest happiest song ever since he died. It’s perfect though.

Far more interesting to hear things you’re not familiar with innit?

Stretching the rules a bit, as it's a sample of Kate Bush, but...

Samples? Samples? We’re moments away from mashups, I shouldaknown. NOOOOOOOOO. Have already looked squint-eyed at the Kylie offering but let it slip. Which sounds all kinds of right. Wrong. I meant wrong.

Anyway here

This is STW, nothing ever goes the way you want. I’m just searching YouTube for a Bohemian Rhapsody cover on a rusty trombone or some such brass. Not sorry.

Is a guest vocalist the same as a collaboration? I could post 100s of them 😀

Moderat is Modeselektor and Apparat. I think this is my favourite collab ever of all time

Sisyphus was great - Sun Lux, Sufjan Stevens and Serengeti

Suuns, one of my fave bands, did a collab album with Jerusalem in MY Heart who I'd never heard of. Is good

Was going to post Run DMC and Aerosmith, but Mikkel beat me to it.

I'll go for another Tom Jones 'collab' instead:

You + Me
(Dallas Green and Pink)
Killer + the sound
(Phoebe Bridgers + Noah & Abby Gundersen)
Keep on rocking in the free world
(Neil Young + Pearl Jam)
Set the fire to the third bar
(Snow Patrol and Martha Wainright)

I really enjoy a good man/woman harmony.

Aesop Rock does loads of collabs, eg, Lice (with Homeboy Sandman ), Hail Mary Mallon and Malibu Ken with Tobacco

Love that Mcalmont & Butler album. Saw Massive Attack in Cardiff & the guitarist (from my bloody valentine???) was INCREDIBLE on Angel.

How about Tupac and Biggie on the same track:

Rocky Dijon and the Rolling Stones (plus Ginger Baker and and and)
Bowie and Queen Under Pressure
Aside: I was teaching at Wandsworth Boys' School, early eighties. We were all called to the hall at lunchtime. I thought there might have been an act of extreme something or other (v possible at the time). Anyway, we all sat down and out came Ali Faka Toure and played on the school stage. F me I very nearly cried. He collaborated a lot, worth researching.
