Erm, from your Wiki link, MSP:
Nazism (Nationalsozialismus, National Socialism; alternatively spelled Naziism[1]) was the ideology and practice of the Nazi Party and of Nazi Germany.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] It was a unique variety of fascism that involved biological racism and antisemitism.[10] Nazism presented itself as politically syncretic, incorporating policies, tactics and philosophies from right- and left-wing ideologies; in practice, Nazism was a far right form of politics.[11]
Any 'socialist' policies were simply subterfuge. Socialism is about treating people as social equals; Nazism is the opposite of that.
Can someone sum this all up. 'cos last time I read this thread it was about some bloke thinking about grassing up some bloke he didn't really know anything about cos he pushed a caravan or went up a ladder or something. is it worth reading? or just the usual?
I eat a BNP pig once.. well just a bacon sarnie.. it was juicy.. and very very rascist.. with an aftertaste of anger and disillusion..
I agree with the Elephant, nationalist parties have their base in the industrial socialist strongholds in all the countries I'm familiar with. In France the FN does well in Nord, Pas de Calais and Marseille but not in the rural west. In Germany the extreme right has it's base in poor city suburbs.
Don't worry Elephant, I promise not to agree with you again for a few months. 😉
errrrr Excuse me, DO NOT put me in the same sentance as the BNP.
I am not a right wing looney, I was just bored and fancied an online rumble!
You lot obviously take this very seriously and have some very strong views you are not happy to let lie.
I personally do not care wether or not you agree with me, we are all entitled to an opinion, are we not??????? Or is that an extreme right wing view too????????
I do however find it very offensive to be put into the same sentance as the BNP.
Nazi = national socialist. Edit: sozialist being spelt with a Z in German.
also from My link
They declared support for a nationalist form of socialism that was to provide for the Aryan race and the German nation economic security, social welfare programs for workers, a just wage, honour for workers' importance to the nation, and protection from capitalist exploitation.
Certainly not the socialism that I believe in, but a brand of socialism that they sold to the people of Germany at that time.
Don't worry Elephant, I promise not to agree with you again for a few months.
If anyone else does it I'll have to switch sides.
people who use that many question marks are almost always BNP members..
Can someone sum this all up.
It's about the resentment of some, for others, and the perception by some that others are taking what they aren't entitled to.
There was a little bit about the need for people to be socially responsible and confront fraudulent behaviour using appropriate means, but a lot of it's just a load of the usual waffle. Some of it's quite funny really. Reached a peak, but then sort of fizzled out really, briefly perking up this evening.
Someone's bin called a Nazi though, so things could hot up again.
Certainly not the socialism that I believe in, but a brand of socialism that they sold to the people of Germany at that time.
Yeah I see what yer saying, but to call them a 'socialist' party is a bit warped by any rational standards though, wouldn't you agree? 😀
The BNP attempt similar tactics, but truth be told, those in charge of that nasty shower of poo don't mean a word of it. They just want thick, ignorant and amenable foot soldiers to serve their own selfish ends.
thier main/sole campaign issue is immigration/nationalism which is much more of a right wing issue than it is a left wing one. They wer efomed fromt he NF who were right wing
How was that "compass" calculated as I would put them to the right of pretty much everyone.
The British National Party (BNP) is a far-right political party formed as a splinter group from the National Front by John Tyndall in 1982. It restricted membership to 'indigenous British' people until 2010, after a legal challenge to its constitution.[14]
Wiki for example
thier main/sole campaign issue is immigration/nationalism which is much more of a right wing issue than it is a left wing one.
Is it?
I thought Labour acknowledged that immigration lost them votes. That suggests it's a left wing issue.
I do however find it very offensive to be put into the same sentance as the BNP
I suspect they agre with you on benefits though - I t was not me who calle dyou BNP I dont think you are a racist as your hate is more general and less focused
Calm down and think happy thought like lazy scroungers being buried in holes
Elfin call him a nazi and see if we can drag him back in
lazy scroungers, big holes 🙂
BNP 🙁
Who, Kevevs?
Oi, Kev, yer a Nazi!
I really don't think he is though actually. 😐
The main political parties, tend to be judged left or right,, according to their economic policies.
Other policies such as immigration don't always sit neatly with the same left or right classifications (that's the real world and not based on ideological ideals).
If you look at the policies of the French FN you'll find a lot of socialism in there, along with a large dose of nationalism. It's a simplistic, populist rhetoric that promises a privileged future to the conservative (with a small c), xenophobic poor. Extreme right in a misnomer in that none of the parties in Britan, France or Germany prone extreme liberalisation of markets, free trade or the redcution of the role of the state which one would normally consider extreme right wing.
They're really just populist nationalists with a programme to please the masses that is pretty socialist if you read the detail.
Seriously can someone answer this, maybe someone who actually knows about benefits?
Why when there are full time permanent jobs going in my local Tescos,
are there people who are unemployed and perfectly fit to work, not taking those jobs? I know of quite a few families around Ludlow who do not work, and spend all day loitering around the local childrens parks
and the estates that they live in.
Why are they not being forced to take these jobs?
eh? hang on, are people actually arguing about the BNP on here? cos it sounded like it for a moment then. There is no argument for the BNP!
Can everyone just stop quoting from Wiki FFS ?
Apart from being lazy, it just marks your argument or POV as unverified. You might as well not quote it at at all.
eh? hang on, are people actually arguing about the BNP on here? cos it sounded like it for a moment then.
Not any more, Edukator has educated us. Racists are lefties.

Have you actually asked them?
Cos, like you're probbly better placed than most of us to make such enquiries...
Or is it easier just to spout a load of assumptions and waffle about something you don't actually know the full facts of?

Chill, man. It's Friday night, Jazzie B pon radio, cold beer sitting here, no need to get all frenzied over it is there? Wiki'll do for this one. Relax....
In a comparison with classic encyclopedias Wiki does very well, Trailmonkey. I used Wiki myself to remind myself of the 2002 election results but didn't quote it. I have no problem with people quoting and linking Wiki. What do you suggest them quoting that is more reliable than Wiki?
wiki isn't reliable, that's the whole point. anyone can write anything - i've done it myself and it's still there.
maybe someone will quote that someday.
He asked you what is more reliable though....
Why when there are full time permanent jobs going in my local Tescos,
Supermarkets don't employ full-time staff, apart from managers who have been there for years n years. You'd be really lucky to get a 20 hr contract IME if you're applying from being unemployed.
20 hrs times 6.50 p/hr minus tax/nat.insurance = shit-all! Much better off on benefits. I think the Tescos argument is a no-goer to be fair.
I'll put it another way, Elephant: xenophobic, nationalist parties that are dubbed "extreme right" often have manifestos with many socialist measures.
I'm reassured that our ageement was short lived and based on a misunderstanding.
He asked you what is more reliable though....
i think you know, but academic sources or reputable journalistic ones where there's a level of accountability for what's been written.
but you are right, it's hardly worth getting bent out of shape over. a nice rioja on the go here.
You'l find a lot of peer reviewed stuff is heavily biased, trailmonkey, and as for a journalist working for a media magnet... . Wiki is open to both sides of any debate and the result is often more balanced and nearer to the truth than any one academic or journalistic source.
wiki away then. i'll just ignore it.
a few anchovies too - marvelous.
I'm reassured that our ageement was short lived and based on a misunderstanding.
That's a relief. I don't think I could have got away with swapping sides. I'm too tall.
When the Anti-nazi league was in it's hey day, we must have had loads of Tories coming out to speak against the NF
let me think ..............
there was Tony Benn, Billy Bragg, Jimmy Pursey, Michael Foot .............
No hang on, there must have been some Tories, I'll have to go away and think again
I'll repost when I think one that actually stood up to be counted
a few anchovies too - marvelous.
A nice touch there Trailmonkey.
wow this changed direction somewhat.
I still wouldn't grass on him :p
filthy snakes 😉

That's some impressively warped logic.
It was (is) an inner-city problem and guess who represents those? Here's a clue. It won't have been a tory MP.
Jimmy Pursey
are you serious ? i remember an anl thing in brixton where sham 69 had to pull out because of their nf followers. jp came on stage to plead his innocence and got bottled off.
as a plus point we got stiff little fingers on the day instead of the odious sham 69.
Nor me, Pik n Mix, I wouldn't want to be compared with the dénoicateurs sous Vichy when the Nazis were running this place.
where did all the righteous dudes that were there hangin on the phone ready to phone the fraud line go? This is a proper mutant this thread 🙂

Still on hold?
Why when there are full time permanent jobs going in my local Tescos.....Why are they not being forced to take these jobs?
Many companies operate a policy of permanent recruitment [Mc Donalds and other fast food places for example] and advertise jobs even when there are no vacancies. They then offer low PT hours rather than FT posiitons.
People are forced to actively seek employment which is not the same as get a job. It is also just possible that the tesco store manager despises this low life scum as much as you do and wont give them a chance in case they go fathering children in the aisle or parking their new car in the disabled spaces whilst tweeting on the ipad or something. In essence they may not have the skill set that Tesco looks for in employees perhaps thay have all tried.
Can you link to the jobs as there are none on the Tesco website though I dont knwo how they actually recruit.
For example you can always apply to McDonalds online but they rarely actually have jobs as I have spoken to the regional manage and just keep applications on file. Last time i asked they had over 3000 applications on file for the North west alone.
It is impossible to compel, persuade or cajole firms to take employess only from the local pool of unemployed trust me I have tried. Again look at your own view of them when and imagine you are reading the application that says not worked for the last 4 years you would think they are lazy would you not? In essence it is your fault 😆
Many claimants have their benefits stopped weekly for not complying i would guess at circa 5%. this affects a mixture of those not genuine and those who are just messed up ****wits who cannot understand the rules. Looking at someone who has no money over Easter to feed thier kids is not an awesome.
The only real solutionw ould be a programme of intensive suppor to get them work ready and compelling employers to draw from this pool providing a decent living wage. Shitty attitudes and a big stick wont help them even if you feel your rage is justified.
a chance in case they go fathering children in the aisle
speaking of which. a customer gave birth to a child in the asda where I work today. it was 4 weeks overdue apparently. cue lots of flashing lights and running around. It was quite nice actually 🙂
Wha'd she have?
What aisle was it in?
dunno, dunno, got whisked off in an ambulance. I thought it was brilliant! or at least, a change from the norm!
Ear Kev; people round your way will be right into the Royal Wedding and that, right, so how's about, we sort out a London-Llandudno live webcam link what they can have up on big screens in your shop?
I mean, it'll only be from my flat, but that's just a minor detail. I can point it out of the window at Canary Wharf, to give it that authentic London ambience, and do a running commentary inna Cockernee Stylee!
I can do some Wills and Kate pics and bunting and that. I think it'll be a winner.
And it'll only cost your shop free graynd. Can't say fairer than thayt. Instead of staying at home watching it on telly, the good people of Llandudno, Conwy and surrounding area including Deganwy and Llanfairfechan will flock to Asdas to shop and watch the Royal Wedding. Thus generating thousands of pounds for your shop. You could do Royal Wedding Special Deals and that.
Whaddya reckon??? Good, innit??!! 😀
