This could easily be read as you calling them a dick.

But if it's the perfect crime. A license to call people dicks and get away with it.

Unless your name isnt Dick. Wally!

Are the people Gen Z’ers? I was reading in the Guardian the other day (so it must be true) that young people have a whole new set of etiquette. For example when you arrive at somebody’s house, it is rude to knock on the door, you should wait outside and message them. At my work there are problems with young people being super-anxious about making ‘phone calls, again they think this is aggressive. This is all of course premised that we are all glued to our mobile ‘phones all the time!

I watched someone on the train the other day hold a conversation that she recorded, sent and got a reply, listened and then the whole process started again... seemed like madness to me
