Do you mean getting pissed or is this some weird beer enema? Either way six pints is more than I could handle

I envy you! that point for me is at about 1 and a half, after 3 pints my evening begins to deteriorate.....must be lack of dedication!
Enjoy!

MDMA and a good sound system makes a few beers feel like a wet weekend in Bognor.
At least a wet weekend in Bognor is easier to deal with over the next couple of days.
Which as we both know being over the age of 50 is a bonus.

Nothing like a good E evening.

Beer has to do these days though.

I’m only 2 beers in, but I’ve been awake for 21 hours, feeling kinda squiffy.

Only that soft racism of flow expectations

4.5 pints down for me tonight. Most I've drank in a good few months. I'll be feeling it in the morning.
It's not that long since I could have 8 pints, cycle home and be up the next morning feeling fine. Not sure where that resilience went. I blame the children. I also blame them for my overweight belly and the fact the house is always a mess.

I'd like to think I could be more restrained now, but I'd probably be worse.

Might be happening at some point anyway though.

2 beers is my lot these days. As soon as I drink 3 or more the next day is a write-off. The problem is, the two beer buzz makes me want to drink more so I have to make a concerted effort to stay away from gatherings where people are getting sloshed.

3 pints, is where I’m at my best, love that point of the night.
The 4th is where a decision is made. You/I can go home after 4, but order a 5th and the night will no doubt turn messy.

If two pints is your max, why bother commenting on a thread that's about the enjoyment of getting pissed?

The piety level on here is off the scale.

I love 4 pints of Guinness. Great feeling and I know that it is good for me too with no ill effect the next day.

It's a thread about beer buzz, not getting pissed. Who died and made you the pope?

Three is too much for me nowadays. Did used to love that feeling of been fresh though. Not quite drunk, but getting there and everything feels just right. Was around two pints for me. A night out for me was pretty cheap.

It's quite low calorie and is good for bone density. I think it's a great recovery drink too. Granted it may actually not be that good for you ( got that bit wrong ) but I am sure it is quite healthy.

Up to 3 pints and everything is golden and shiny, step across that line and I'm into the realm of the booze adventure. Once an adventure has been had, the next day is undoubtedly a little difficult, but overall I do love being in booze.

Cant stand the bloated , fuzzy headed beer after shock these days so its hard spirits only for me , feel as clear as a whistle the next day 🙂

though the odd guiness goes down well

Depending on the strength, two pints is enough to give me a nice buzz, and even then I need to be disciplined about drinking water afterwards to avoid regretting it the next day.

Really disrupts my sleep these days, weird dreams and snoring 🙄

It's reassuring to read that it's not just me who can't cope the next day after more than a few pints. I could feel it yesterday morning but suprisingly not too bad.

If you need to get blootered then you really do have problems. You have my sympathies.

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works but no, I don't currently think so.

I have always been known to "like a drink" and started drinking in the local park when I was still at school (I blame rock music 🙂 ). I have not had a drink for 100 days. I didn't really have a reason for stopping but started tracking with an app and just continued.

Not currently sure what my future relationship with booze will be. I have started thinking that the pros of not drinking outweigh the cons (lost weight, saved cash, reduced cancer risk). It was great to be an holiday and get up at 0730 for a run in the fells, instead of nursing a hangover:

Hi Ton, you are right. I get it from from pint number 1 through to 6, especially on a Friday after work. My only limit really is the cost, down here it’s nearly thirty quids worth.
After six, I’m not sure what happens but I’m pretty sure it’s great.
