Too little too late? Or is The West finally waking up to this threat properly?
Balls! It's a pet hate of mine when people don't bother to check which forum they are posting on.😆
Hilarious.
Mainstream media is a laughing stock.
BBC = fake news in Scotland
This is more serious that I suspected.
So reliability of the news is latitude dependant?!
Those equatorial bar stewards at the BBC!!
By far the majority of work in this area has been initiated and funded by Google under the Digital News Initiative.
Somewhat ironic that the BBC story fails to mention that.
The BBC (website especially) are awful for this, not just fake news but allowing the spin from organisations without question, and making the headline of the story support the lie.
Just this week, when the inter ultras made the Ludicrous claim that Lukaku was not racially abused and that the monkey chants were a sign of respect. The story headline was that Lukaku was not racially abused. I complained and am sure many others did and it was later changed.
That isn't an issue that will be fixed technology, it is about professionalism and applying a bit of effort and sense.
OP, are you sure that’s not fake news? Don’t trust the media. There’s a post going around which shows Fridays issue of The Sun with completely opposing political views Johnson vs Corbyn on the front page for the Scottish and England versions.
So the BBC director involved refers to it as so-called fake news. Isn't that like saying fake news is fake news?
Its high time they had a war on 'rubbish news'
Its rare to see anything but articles on brexit and maybe on real news article on BBC News main page
There sems to be very little real news available online anymore
BBC = Boris' Broadcasting Corporation
Too much parroting of no.10 press releases for access rather than reporting what was said they report what is going to be said. News is by definition a reporting of past events anything else is a forecast and knowing this mob that's likely to be no more accurate than damp seaweed. (See also weather forecast which is more often 'news' by my definition above).
BBC, biased broadcasting corporation, hopefully they will be putting their glass house in order correcting their fake news and fibs/lies before throwing stones at other organisations.
Read up on fake science recently (which is used to add credibility to fake news as well as to relieve people of cash).fascinating stuff - https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/aug/10/predatory-publishers-the-journals-who-churn-out-fake-science
Good video on YouTube from last years Defcon hacker conf.
Ok, so consensus is the BBC can't be trusted.
So, who can?
Aye!?
Bbc mostly is fake ass news biased to say the least
But Yh as they’re an institution they get away with it subtly
Good video on YouTube from last years Defcon hacker conf.
It's a fantastic video. And horrifying in equal measures.
This thread is all fake news
