Stuck in Basingstoke for the week on a course, any curry house recommendations?

Thanks in advance

I used to live down there a fair few years ago the one we always used to go to was called towers, it was pretty good, but no idea if it's still there.

The Cinnamon Tree in Mortimer is very good - a short train ride from Basingstoke.

Bengal Brasserie if you are in town, it’s an average but ok curry house but would second the cinnamon tree in Mortimer - it’s very close to the station and trains are frequent. Towers is still there and not bad - depends on where you are staying - it’s easily walkable from the holiday inn.

Hook Tandori is just up the road, very good indeed (well, it was 12 years ago when I lived there 😀)

Thanks for all the recommendations;

Tried The Towers, was Ok.  Wouldn’t eat there again without trying elsewhere first.

I always had really good meals at Spicy Tadka. But I was usually the only person in there, so I suspect that my experience may not have been common.

@Ming the Merciless - don't forget its your civic duty to test them all (and the hotel plumbing) this week and report back.
