No-one else has BASEd without a BASE - takes vision to have an idea like that and massive cojones to follow it through!
Well it's not flat ground is it - wouldn't work otherwise.
The E in base stands for earth, I'm pretty sure he set from some of that.

My first and overwhelming thought about the whole thing was 'what a waste of a motorbike'. After that it was just melodramatic bobbins. Was more impressed with his base jump off the bridge.
Seems slightly pointless to me....

That video almost cost me a set of pants. Watching vids whilst turtle heading is not recommended.
