was just going to post it - crazy!
why on earth jump off a perfectly good mountain from a distance where there is no room for error with a kite packed in your rucksack....
and survived with cuts and bruises.
That first impact could have been better 😉 It's like when you see a tree from a mile away and you focus on it as you get closer and eventually end up hitting it.
He's lucky to survive that. Didn't look too bad until I realised the video had been slowed down. The last clip in real time shows how scary that was. Not sure that he would have had any chance of avoiding that first rock- he just fell straight onto it
That rock outcrop looked painful 😕
What went wrong then? Just unlucky how his chute opened I guess. Yanked him toward the cliff rather than away.
As I understand he spun round and these chutes only function properly when going forwards. In 'reverse' you drop quickly. May be wrong though
Some of those chutes fly forward at around 30mph I seem to remember.

Ye that Bolivian one is awful, anything where you need a waiting ambulance is no longer cool and skillfull but just stupid, might as well be jackass. Wasn't even good!
I rode down that road last Summer. It's steep as bejesus, but not steep enough to clear the base unless you launch out about half a mile.

Throw man, bike and parachute off cliff and see what happens - oh they all crash into the ground in a big heap. Who'd of thought it.
Makes diving into rivers to rescue dogs look like the work of a genius. 🙂

Looks like he did the classic mountain bike error and stared at that sticky out rock 🙂
