Anyone know of any 3 for 2 or 2 for ____ type deals going on whiskey in the supermarkets at the moment?

Everything seems to be at full price and £17 for Jameson seems a hell of a lot!

Cheers

Singletons 12 is down from £30 to £20 at Sainsburys so that's the same as a 3 for 2 deal. It's lovely!

They do look like some good deals, but actually they are for presents for the support staff at work, so I need to get about 3 or 4 bottles at a bit of a deal. hopefully less than £15 each, of Jameson standard, yes Scotch would be fine too

Who mentioned Irish?

Local Morrison's do Tullamore Dew for £15, very reasonable IMO, IIRC Bushmills 10 yo is on offer too.

Get them a bottle of red and white wine each, they may not like Whiskey.

I'd said Whiskey, instead of Whisky

I got gentleman jack (OK its bourbon - but I do love an old fashion) at Salisbury for £19.50 - usually £30+

I managed to get one of the bottles of Aldi 40yr old Whisky for the old man's xmas pressie.

No idea if it'll be any good but it's nicely presented and makes a change from the usual Supermarket stuff.

There were queues at the door of the 2 stores we went to though so we were lucky. 6 bottles a store is hardly playing fair though is it.

I'll get him to taste it when he opens it and see what it's like.
