Val Thorens is the usual "safe" choice

Zermatt will have good skiing up at top but imo it's a struggle to pay those resort prices for a partially open ski area

April/May is the season for touring Jedi, you need to get into that

Zillertal also has a lot of snow plus there is the Hintertux glacier at the end of the valley for year round skiing if that is your thing.
