The Coors.
But to be fair they arn't too bad to look at if you ignore the creepy brother.
i love early bizkit (it's not cool to say you like them but stuff it lol) and wes borland is an amazing guitarist
Not a band but Phil Collins. Love a bit of Simply Red as well.
Actually I like loads of bands/singers that people, 2 kool for Skool, say are shit.
Not Coldplay though, they are shit! Apart from the first album, that was ok....
Cheesy pop very much isn't my thing but I love a bit of....
Simply Red can do one. (I was actually at school with their trumpet player). I cannot bear them.
May I suggest Disturbed?
There is no way you shouldn't like the Scissor Sisters, they are freaking brilliant.
Simply Red are truly awful though - should be ashamed of yourself.
My terrible secret was always...
Probably the Black Eyes Peas for me, I can't help but be in a good mood when I listen to them, even though they're nothing like my usual taste in music!
I fail to see why any of the bands currently listed have a reason not to like them? All have produced absolute bangers.
It's not like we're posting Lostprophets or R Kelly.
Nickleback certainly used to get quite a bit of piss taking but I don't care, they have put out some absolute tunes.
This is not even their best, just their best known

They’re not brilliant! They’re unbearably ****ing awful! A terrible Eurovision entry. For their indescribably bad cover version of Comfortably Numb alone, they should be first against the wall! Absolute bloody sacrilege!
I’ve been caught listening to All Saints once…or twice. Very embarrassing for an alt indie kid.
I know that they’re an entirely manufactured group from a terrible Saturday night reality TV show, but it’s just perfect pop music…
As someone 50+ who would struggle to list ten songs released since around 2005 that I love, The Weeknd's Blinding Lights is a leftfield one for me, has a very 80s vibe. When I first heard this at work on the radio over the depot's terrible speakers, partially muffled by the depot's extractor fans, I thought it was an Allison Moyet tune I'd never heard! 🤣

Better than the original imo, and that's what makes the world such a cool place.
Billy Joel. He's the musical equivalent of Tom Hanks. When people say they're a fan, I just feel so sad. There's so much good music out there, why listen to that dross.
Out of all of those artists listed, I have three albums by one of them, and a bunch of others that he’s in, and that’s Phil Collins. I have a couple of other albums on vinyl that he was in, and that’s Brand X, a much more jazz/funk oriented band.
He’s a great drummer, and a pretty good singer, and while Genesis has quite a few good songs after they became a three-piece, I lost interest after Steve Hackett left.
I have zero interest in any of the others, with the possible exception of the Coors, but they’re a bit too pop for my taste, there are a lot more folk oriented artists who I much prefer.
I’m absolutely certain that there would be a lot of side-eye from people on here as regards a lot of the artists I like, but that’s fine - nobody tells me what I should or shouldn’t like, and I’ll keep quiet about what they enjoy.
As I currently have 80,000+ tracks in my music library, I have plenty to be going on with.
Kid Rock.
I know he's now (and possibly always was) a Trump-fluffing has-been with some horrible opinions, but in the late 90s he had some Nu-metal/Country bangers that are a nice surprise when they end up in the playlist rotation.

Well said sir.
There's two types of music:
A) stuff you like
B) stuff you don't like
Anyone who tells you that something you have under A should be under B can, well, go stuff themselves
Anyone who tells you that something you have under A should be under B can, well, go stuff themselves
Unless you like Billy Joel, in which case you are wrong.
In which case we disagree both generally and specifically.
Boney M and Suzi Quattro
Could be the fact my partner hates both and I like to chuck them in a playlist to wind her up
According to Singletrackworld, I shouldn't like Coldplay, but I do.
I always feel sad for people that give up on finding new music.
They age beyond their years..
Listen to anything and everything ...find that groove.
Oh,and people that use the term 'guilty pleasures' can get in the sea. 😝
If I was forced to listen to either Led Zep or Paramore all day...I'd probably choose Paramore.
I will defend Billy Idol's musical genius to anyone.
Probably BowWowWow .. to most people they were a Malcolm McLaren novelty act, but to me it was all about Leigh Gorman's incredible bass playing. Having learnt bass by playing along to Theatre of Hate, Stranglers etc. here was a fella who I couldn't hope to keep along to. Slap, chords, melodies, different styles, he was a bloody genius. I still listen to them and I hardly ever listen to old stuff!! I even went to see the Annabella fronted tribute band (she was the only original member) a few years back and was mesmerised by the stand in player. Even when Annabella came over and rested her head on my chest (well, maybe not then 😀 )
The songs were brilliant too if you ask me
one little example
Billy Idol is a rock music National Treasure, if that's a thing. Still great live.
You do realise how old Annabella was in that picture don't you....
I think Led Zep fall into a different thread category of "Bands you Should Like...but don't ever play" I mean I've got all their albums buuuuuut........Pink Floyd also fit here.
Can't believe nobody has posted this one yet as a band you shouldn't like:
It depends on what you mean by shouldnt like?
If you mean i know i shouldnt like it but i do? - Nothing. I am 100% happy with all my music choices.
If you mean the cognoscenti tell me i shouldn't like it? - U2 & Marillion
If you mean Jo Public tells me i shouldn't like it? - Well as most of my musical library is choc full of hardcore punk then pretty much everything.

Totally agree, I knew he was borderline anyway, but I think some consider him a bit naff and "cartoon punk".

Of course. I'm sure you can make it controversial 40odd years later if you really try!
Pink Floyd also fit here
Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here were brilliant albums. The earlier stuff is best left for diehard fans. The later Roger Waters stuff should go in the bin.

Erm, I much prefer the earlier stuff, especially the first two albums.....and I like The Wall. I'm not so keen on DSOTM or WYWH as they sound a bit too prog rock for me! Still everyone is different - some people even like Billy Joel.
For their indescribably bad cover version of Comfortably Numb alone, they should be first against the wall! Absolute bloody sacrilege!
LOVE the Tiga remix of that cover.
At the other end of some kind of scale is this...
some people even like Billy Joel.
And some of those people would rather slam their knackers in the fridge door than listen to Pink Floyd 😉
Linkin Park is up there for me. I know nothing beyond their first album, and it's screamy nonsense, but sometimes it hits the spot.
Creedence I always used to think was a band you "shouldn't" like. Now I don't care - they're an amazing band.
OK, I have to ask…
D'you wanna be in my gang, my gang, my gang, D'you wanna be in my gang, Oh yeah!
You do realise how old Annabella was in that picture don't you....
A couple of years older than I was at the time. Going to see her later this year in Shoreham of all places
As a dad of a 10 year old girl. I find myself listening to all sorts of stuff I probably shouldn't like, but honestly its nice to have this route into some great music that would probably have passed me by.
Particularly impressed by this young lady
I always feel sad for people that give up on finding new music.
absolutely this ^^^
Erm, I much prefer the earlier stuff, especially the first two albums.
The first two PF albums were really interesting and inventive, if a bit patchy.
The rest of their output is dull AF, to my ears.
