My parent’s iPad is jumping all over the place and very keen for you to visit weather.com.
Tried clearing safari history and turning off and on.
If I back up the iPad to the cloud will it keep the gremlins or am I better off setting it up as new?

You can just back up some settings eg contacts / photos etc to their iCloud account so they resync after a factory reset.

The backup isn’t an exact copy, as footflaps says it will keep certain information and you can select which. It should sort out the issues.
