Just a little note to all nature lovers, that its not good for hedgehogs to eat pumpkins. This year there seems to be a trend to put out several pumpkins and gourds and if these are at ground level, a hedgehog maybe tempted.
We finally have a hedgehog visiting the garden after several years of not seeing one. I would be so sad if it died now.

Huh. I was totally prepared to ask when you bought it and offer Consumer Rights Act advice.

Not 4 days only, there's more, excellent.

Surely there were baby beavers born in the wild in Scotland (maybe the river Tay) before now?

Not everyone can be as sophisticated in their viewing tastes as you so obviously are. 🙄

I don’t get the chance to see our more exotic native wildlife, working on a large business park, although there are often ravens about, and there are peregrines around although I’ve not seen them lately, the corps of a young pigeon that had been ripped open and beheaded in front of one of the cars a little while back showed all the signs of one. It came back and finished the unfortunate pigeon off on the roof of a nearby car later. Which will need a good clean before it goes anywhere.
Not sure if anyone wants to see the photos or not…
One thing though, the cooler weather is making the late-flying wasps put their furry jackets on!

It was licking up the sweet tree sap that had settled on the car where it had previously been parked, didn’t seem bothered by me being next to it, taking photos.
That’s been cropped, I couldn’t get a closer focus otherwise.

The critters are great just don't like the presentation. I normally watch with the sound off.
