Got AutoCAD 2009 installed on my computer along with CADS RC.
I can't get on with the new style of AutoCAD so do my drawing in Classic workspace but as I can't get the CADS RC menu to be added to the menubar at the top in Classic I have to switch to CADS RC workspace, however when i switch back to Classic my toolbars have all gone and they are back to the default bars even though I have locked the toolbars. How can I stop this happening? Or even better, How can i get CADS RC menu to appear in the menubar in Classic Workspace?
Its getting very frustratic at the moment.
Thanks a lot
I'm by no means sure as all the AutoCAD systems I have worked on are set up and I just plough on with the drawings, but have you set up your templates as in A4, A3 .... A0 paper spaces and saved them?
Have you got the CADS RC menu in *.mnc or *.mns format?
Try the following: Tools - Load Application, then load the RC menu file. If this works you will need to do this every time you start CAD. There is a LISP routine that will load it automatically, but I don't have a copy of it. To get your Classic toolbars to load every time, save it in you're Profile once you have got it set up as you want. (Tools - Options - Profiles).
Haze - i've no idea what that means or even how i have it. how can i find out and what difference does it make?
If you want to load a custom menu into AutoCAD for use as a pull down, you need to have the file containing all the settings - it will have the file extension mns, mnc, mnu or similar.
You can then load this into AutoCAD from tools > customise > menus
I'm going off memory and possibly off an older release, but it should be something similar to this.
