Is anyone able to give an actual price just for a heat pump? Seems to me like there's some kind of price fixing cartel in this sector. Trying to get an installation for a 2-or-3 zone 50m² office building. Everything comes in around £11k regardless, but the prices I've had quoted cover everything from full design and supply, to design and I do a lot of the donkey work, to simply I'll do everything and they just turn up and connect the heat pump. They all refer me to the heating grant program.
I'm GasSafe so I'm competent to do pretty much the entire thing myself apart from the commissioning of the pump itself but at this point it seems like a racket designed so every installer gets the absolute maximum they can from whatever green heating grant is happening at the moment.
I just want a pump connecting, that's all.
