Even if it was traced to get the dimensions spot on, so what! Why not use technology to do that quickly rather than half ass it. Fwiw, i've played with my pencil (oh er) tracing some photos, tracing is one thing, making it look so real is a whole other story. Here's one example and some advice...

I have to say I tend to agree with Seos...whatever. As soon as you said 'reference points' I raised an eyebrow..... But then I have no idea what I am taking about either, hence why I post on STW.
