Seosamh77 - check out the highlighted speckles on the dog's nose - different. Also some fur on the nose around 5 o'clock, different. Also the right ear (left of picture) is different.

You know this has been a thing for years, right? Photorealism? It's a proper genre, has its own wiki page and everything. There's an exhibition of it in the Milwaukee Art museum, with some gigantic wall-sized ones.
Aye and I can tell when it's been done from scratch, there would be a lot more differences, that clearly hasn't.

No cos there are bits missing in the drawing as well as added. It's different, as you'd expect.
And in the close-up it's very clearly made up of pen strokes.

Right. I've just had a word, as one not seen one started from scratch. I have seen the work involved though. She'll flick between the two for reference points. 100% not a tracing or any artistic filter though. That's my final word, you lot can argue all day about it if you want. Ok then, let's say for a minute she DOES trace them, which she doesn't. Which part of your statement above holds true? That is a screenshot she sent her sister (an artist) as a work in progress to ask her opinion. If it's as you say, a filter - do you think she's just gone to the trouble of erasing a bit, then adding a few pencil strokes just to appease a keyboard warrior? Get a grip sunshine

As for who she's trying to kid, me, you or your sister, or unsuspecting fools willing to part with their cash. I doubt i factor high in that list tbh.
My statement holds true, as she is neither tracing nor drawing that particular image free hand. (Not saying she can't draw it free hand, I'm pretty sure she could come up with a decent image, as she's skilled enough at augmenting images, just that that particular one hasn't been.)

I won't be buying the cut price Apple Pencil, unless Mrs Artist needs one and I happily gift it to her to continue her hobby, she's obviously thoroughly deserving.
