I have a Ni-Mh battery (36v 9ah) which won't take/hold any charge. Before O have to blow £500 on a replacement, is there any way to bring it back to life?

According to YouTube I stick it in the freezer for 24 hours, let it defrost and then charge it. Will this work?

If not, what will?

What can you lose by trying?

Lots of good stuff about batteries here:

(no idea if it covers the freezer method or not. I'll leave that to you)

It should be good for around 500 cycles if the charger has been kind to it. If you think it is anywhere near that there is nothing you can do short of putting new cells in it. If it's gone wrong for some other reason then you might be able to squeeze some life out it by forcing it to take a charge but you'll need a variable power supply with current and voltage control. You should be able to get some new cells for a lot less than £500
