As we have a child free evening tonight, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent film? Mad Max? Far from the Madding Crowd? others?

Far from the maddening crowd is excellent.

Avengers, if you like that type of film is also very good.

Spooks is out today which should be worth a watch as is the age of adaline

Avengers

I'm a big fan of this type of film, but I found it long and a bit of a yawnfest, not a patch on avengers assemble

I loved the Avengers movie, it was loud and fast though, as a good comic book action movie should be!

Far from the maddening crowd would make it as a good TV period drama, really not worth bothering with at cinema IMHO

Thought avengers was just OK. The opening of the film tho, I thought it was going to cut back to them playing a game as the CGI was pretty clunky.

Mad Max will be out in a few days. High hopes for that.

Went to see Spooks last night - fast paced, very cleverly written and nice and dark in places.
