Has anyone used mytyres for a set of fully fitted winter tyres on steel rims?
As you can tell I like to plan ahead...
Not fully fitted but got 2 for the front from them no probs and a lad at work uses them for all his tyres
I got a set of winter tyres from them last year. No problem at all. Just got tyres though.
The winter tyres are definitely worth it. You'll be amazed.
Have used them for winter tyres, not for steel rims though.
I can't remember exactly how much the steelies were from mytyres but IIRC it was about £30 a rim and i got a set of 4 alloys from ebay for 90 delivered so was better off doing that.
An even cheper option is to ask at your local scrap yard for steel wheels of that type (easier if you know the size, width, PCD and offset) as i have heard of people getting wheels for as little as £10 a wheel. Even if they are a little rusty just now you will have plenty time to clean them up and re paint them with hammerite or the like and you would still be quids in.
Got winter tyres only last year (the week before the snow came and prices trebled 😆 ). No complaints except bizarrely I received 2 tyres within a week and the other two came a week later, despite being despatched from the same depot in Germany on the same day.
Also, I ordered them via Topcashback and got £8 back 6 weeks later.
Yes, tyres on wheels. Delivery was a little slow, but this was December last year and delivery of everything was pretty shonky around then. Communication wasn't perfect either, but they aren't uk based. At the end of the day, they sent me what I wanted, and I will be getting a set for the other car from them this year.
