Struggling to find a decent case for a Sony Vaio P series mini laptop, but should be pretty easy to run one up with a sewing machine and some neoprene...

No, not like those. The P is a different shape to netbooks, which is why it's hard to find a case for it.
Plus she wants a separate compartment for the power supply and mouse.
