Anyone live near Tiverton who could store a tandem overnight at the end of August? LEJOG by tandem logistics exercise 😉

Cheers!

I'm about 25 miles South, no problem at all if you don't get a better (closer) offer.

I have a good mate in Wellington who would be able to store it. Mind, he is no big fan of push bikes lol Apart from that a thoroughly decent bloke.

Thanks for all the offers of help. Will be riding the bike to you and then heading back to Tiverton parkway (taxi) so closest to parkway / least uphill from parkway wins 😁

...so keep the offers coming if you can beat any of the above!

The two of us in the Blackdowns are definitely a bit uphill from Tiverton! I am just shy of 1000 feet elevation, Tiverton is about 140…

Yes I'd guessed that hills might be involved! 😁 We're doing the 'minimal climbing' LEJOG so that might break us at the end of a day!

Ooh. Perhaps you can tell me if there is any bearable MTB near Upottery?

There is some tolerable mtb around Culmstock Beacon area but for me not good enough to justify going there over the Quantocks, which are awesome. Don’t know specifically about Upottery area but the Blackdown do a go job of being wet a lot.

I was chatting to someone who said there was some bits around Neroche. Unsure on quantity and quality of the trails though.

Neroche similar issue - some good bits but not always dry. Whenever I try I always end up getting carried away going downhill and before I know it I’ve dropped about 500 feet and have a massive climb to get back home..

^^

I lived in Taunton for nearly ten years. I rode mtb on the blackdowns twice. Road riding is ok though.
