Wanting to buy a SS version for my wife's birthday later his month. Stainless steel case in 38mm seems to be sold out everywhere. Girl at Apple Store said it's a bit odd and possibly expecting announcement soon.

Is it discontinued or getting a September revamp?

Any info on the series 3?

Thanks. But why would they chose just the 38mm SS version to hold?

I imagine they are a more limited run, so either stock has been depleted, and is being updated/discontinued, or what stock they have is being held back to be fitted to the v3 watch.
