[#750888]

I'm trying to get some cycle caps custom embroidered for me and a small number of others from my club who completed the Étape this year.

I tried Walz Caps, but it's pretty likely that the number of caps required would be too small for them. So, with some pointers from Richard at Urban hunter, I'm off to investigate having the logo digitised and then embroidered.

So, in the usual way, and since I know nothing about all this, anyone out there with knowledge and experience and any pointers on the process and what i might expect to pay?

Cheers

Tom

I bought some shirts that had an embroidered logo a few years ago.

IIRC I sent the logo as a .jpg file and the file was converted to a format that the embroidering machine could interpret. There was a one off cost for this of around £35 and then this was stitched onto the garment that you choose.

Hats vary in quality so you can go cheap or expensive, probably about £10 per hat plus your set up charge would be about right, a small local company to you would probably do a small run quite happliy

Try OceanWorld http://www.oceanworld.co.uk/. Less than 18 quid for the setting up and then you can buy as many items as you want, when you want. Caps are a minimum order of 6 IIRC.

An EPS file would be best file format for digitising from - or most other vector graphic files would probably be handled by a decent firm.
