I have a place 300m from the sandiest beach on the Isle of Wight. Unfortunately (well, fortunately for me) I also live there.
Ironically don't go there this time of year outside dawn and dusk as it's so damn crowded.

Cornwalls a bit far for us though.
My partner has a two bed cottage in Mydroilyn (Lampeter west wales). It's about 6 miles from Aberaeron and about 5 miles from New Quay, dog friendly, and has a rear extension to keep bikes, etc.
