I'm uncommonly excited because this time tomorrow we'll be well on the road and approaching Cambridge.

Looking forward to some sunshine and great music.

Don't think I'll be needing the wooly pully, but sandals will certainly be involved.

As for the traditional clichéd view of folk - I'll just smile to myself and look forward to four days of fabulous music with soul and variety and skill.

The camping chair thing at festivals is bloody annoying. Happily Cambridge has the second stage, which is chair-free and much better sound and atmosphere. We just sit on the ground like normal people.

I went to Cropreddy (that is much more like the trad folk festival) once and they do have a good thing where they establish a line of chairs half way back and if you want to go in front of that you just stand or sit on the grass.
